JUDE GOODWIN
Jude Goodwin’s poems have been published in Burnside Review, Contemporary Verse 2, Comstock Review, White Pelican Review, Cider Press Review and various online journals. Please visit the Publications section of this website for more detail.
Her poems have also won or placed well in the IBPC: New Poetry Voices competition, were shortlisted in the CBC Radio Literary Awards, and recently received Honorable Mention in the Jessie Bryce Niles Chapbook Competition. They have been shortlisted many times in the Guardian Poetry Workshop.
Jude is currently considering publishers for her first book of poetry.
Aside from poetry, Jude has four published books, all involving playing cards: card games for kids, how to play bridge for kids and two books of bridge-related cartoons.
She freelances through her company, Goodwin Studios, working as illustrator, designer and desktop publisher. Jude is editor/publisher of Bridge Canada, the Canadian Bridge Federation's signature magazine, editor/publisher of the D19 Gazette, and editor/publisher of her own paper, What's On Squamish, which is printed every two weeks. And she is a webdesigner, producing and maintaining websites for a many diverse groups.
Jude is a member of the Squamish Writers Group. She is founder and co-editor of The Waters, an online poetry workshop.
Jude lives with her youngest daughter in BC, Canada. They have a dog and a cat. The fighter fish died.
